Did you know that (1) July 1 is a Canadian holiday? It’s called Canada Day. I don’t think (2) that many Japanese people know about it. Canadians celebrate July 1 because (3) Canada became a country on July 1, 1867. Before (4) it became a country, Canada was three British colonies. In my hometown, people can celebrate together if (5) they go to the town’s big park. When I (6) lived in that town, I always went to that park on July 1. At that park, people can enjoy watching (7) dances and music performances.
