As you know, I went to Canada to visit(1) my family this Christmas. When I arrived in Vancouver, I went to the bank to get(2) some Canadian money. However, when I got the money, I was surprised by it(3). It was different! Have you ever seen(4) Canadian money? Bank machines, or ATMs, usually give us(5) 20-dollar bills. The color was the same: it has been(6) green since before I can remember. However, the picture was changed(7) completely. Also, the old bill was made of(8) paper, but the new one is plastic. However, the person on the front was kept(9) the same: it’s Queen Elizabeth II. I wanted to show you the money(10), so I kept a 20-dollar bill and brought it back to Japan. Please take a look!

The ESS Club has just(1) received some letters from Thailand. In January, we started writing letters to Thai students who are(2) taught by an English teacher I met(3) in Thailand. We haven’t read the letters yet(4), but we’ll read them after tests. When the ESS club members read the letters, they’ll decide what they should(5) write back. This is a letter which(6) a Thai student wrote. Isn’t it cute? The girl who wrote(7) it is 13 years old, like some students at this school. In total(8), we got 19 letters. I have put the letters in the International Classroom so that anybody(9) can read them at anytime(10). Please take a look!
